Day 8

Weight 90.2kg (198.4lb)

Day 7

Weight 91kg (200.2lbs)

Again, nothing new to report. My weight is only down slightly, but this was to be expected. This is pretty much how it went last time with the cleanse; a large weightloss at the beginning with it slowing down in the latter half of the cleanse.

Hate that saltwater.

My energy level is quite low but still not willing to blame the cleanse on it. However, went to the doctor yesterday and apparently I don't have a sinus infection, it is just allergies.... The doctors truly suck here and once again don't ever need to go see one again.

Felt very lethargic today.. Spoke with another teacher at school and he has been feeling the same way so still can't blame it on the cleanse. Also, I just got back from a ride and once I started moving my energy level was fine and I made it up the hill quite quickly....Even faster descending though , cause I rock (Mike you are a fag).

Have a beer garden to go to on Saturday, the day after I finishe the cleanse. Going to be interesting. In a way I wish I wasn't going cause I know I will not be able to hold back on all you can eat and all you can drink... . Oh fuck is that going to be good....

Day 6

Weight 91.2 (200.6lbs)

Made it half way. Nothing new to report this morning other than the fact that my sinus infection is still kicking around. Legs are tired from the ride yesterday. Nothing new in regards to the cleanse.

Have had a couple friends contact me about the cleanse and they are interested in doing it. A few suggestions for them...

Keep busy. Sitting around makes you think of food. Even if you are not hungry at that time, if you sit around you start thinking about food and that inturn makes you hungry. I have been lucky that on the weekends I have been busy with work and the day of riding yesterday so there wasn't a whole lot of time to sit.

Set times to drink. Again I guess with my schedule at work, I am lucky that I have certains breaks throughout the day that I have my drink. They come about every hour and a half. This helps with setting 'goals'... I do, however, drink more if I am feeling really hungry.

Drink enough. If you plan on exercising take lots of the drink with you. Yesterday I took about 7 portions of the lemon mixture and went a bit heavier on the syrup. My energy level was fine throughout the day. You have to remember that you are likely consuming about half the calories you normally would so you need to make sure you don't completely deprive your body of its energy source.

Day 5

Weight 92.6 (203.7lbs)

Actually weigh more today...interesting...

Yesterday was fine. We had our Halloween party at school and there was a bunch of candy put out on platters for the kids. It seemed as though I could smell every bit of candy there and was actually pretty gross. Had I not been on the cleanse I would have eaten everything there, inccluding the pizza they had for lunch. OH ya, a 'few' beers after as well. I imagine I probably avoided consuming a few thousand calories at least.

Am riding all day today. I am going to take lots of the lemon mixture to ahve throughout the day. I still have the sinus infection; don't feel 100% yet.

Day 4

Weight 92.4kg (203.2lbs)

Just had my salt water drink and it is reacting much quicker now. Yippee! I get to work today and don't feel a whole lot better than yesterday......

Day 3

Weight 93.2kg (205.4lbs)

Salt worked well today.

Waking up in the morning and not feeling all that hungry. Takes awhile before I start feeling hungry but once I do I satisfy it with one of those delicious lemony drinks...

Felt very lethargic today but I am going to blame in on the sinus infection I have and the fact that I am getting sick again. Awesome.

Consumed about 8 glasses today.

Day 2

Weight 94.4kgs (207.7lbs) (salt water consumed, but no action 'taken'

Woke up this mornign and actually didn't feel all that hungry. Which is a good thing.... . However, even as I type this my mind is thinking about food which is making me hungry... Had my salt water, which wasn't as bad as yesterday actually, and am now waiting for it to take action.

Yesterday the salt water didn't do anything unual. NOTHING out of the ordinary....

I am going to start the bentonite again too today. I am not sure if it does anything but what the hell?

Went for a ride last night and energy level was fine. I don't sleep very well as it is so I am not sure if it was the ride, insomnia or the cleanse that made me go to bed at 9:45... .

Interesting that the salt hasn't reacted like last year......

PM Update

Well the salt did its job about an hour and a half later.....just before class started...phew.

Wasn't a bad day but I did get a wee bit sleepy later in the day but I am going to blame it on the sleep I had. But who knows? It may be that I haven't been drinking enough of the lemon mixture.

Took some bentonite tonight along with a my last glass for the night.

Day 1..Here we go again...

Weight: 95.6kgs (210.3lbs) (pre salt water)

Well, guess I am going for it. Woke up, had my salt water mix, which tasted just as bad as I remembered it. It seems to be doing its job; I can feel things being processed within.

Although my weight does not seem that bad (compared to the 97.8kgs last year) I think I actually have more fat stored than last year. As I said yesterday, there has been a lot of sitting around for the past 2 months which has resulted in muscle loss (......uh oh......be right back.... back......not sure if that was a natural one or the result of the salt water), I definitely have more fat around the gut region than last year.

Interested to see how this goes......

Tis' the Night Before the Cleanse

October 24th

Thought about starting the cleanse and might have to do it tomorrow. Figure it is time to get rid of some stuff....

Not looking forward to it at all but needs to be done. Have gained a bit too much weight since I got back from Canada (sitting around because of the broken ribs didn't help) and am going to attempt to get down to about 90kgs (198lbs). Not sure if just the cleanse will get me down there or not but I am also going to attempt to do some form of exercise everyday.

I haven't done an official weigh-in as of yet; don't think it would be that accurate as I just snorked down 2 plates of lasagna and a couple beers... I will weigh in tomorrow after the salt water cleanse, which I am dreading.

If all goes well, official start will be 9:30 pm, October 24th.
